防爆環境的劃分：
爆炸（zhà）性環境：在（zài）大氣條件下，可（kě）燃（rán）性（xìng）物質以氣體、蒸汽、粉塵、纖維或飛絮（xù）的形式與空氣（qì）形成（chéng）的混合物，被點燃後，能夠保持燃燒（shāo）自行傳播的環境（jìng）。
爆炸性氣（qì）體（tǐ）環境：在大氣條（tiáo）件下，可燃性（xìng）物質以氣體或蒸汽（qì）的形（xíng）式與空氣形成的混合物，被點燃後，能夠保持燃燒自行傳播的環境（jìng）。
根據爆炸性氣體環境出現的頻次（cì）和持續時間把危（wēi）險場所分為0區、1區、2區。
0區：爆炸性氣體環境（jìng）連續出現（xiàn）或頻繁出現或長時間存在的場所（suǒ）。
1區：正常運行時，可能偶（ǒu）爾（ěr）出現爆炸性（xìng）氣體環境的場所。
2區（qū）：在正（zhèng）常運行中，不（bú）可（kě）能出現爆炸性氣體環境，如果出（chū）現，僅是短時間（jiān）存在（zài）的場所。
同樣的，對於粉塵環境中，也分為了20區（qū）、21區、22區
20區：在（zài）正常運行（háng）過程中可燃性粉塵連（lián）續出現或經常（cháng）出現，其（qí）數量足（zú）以形成（chéng）可燃性粉塵與空氣混合物和/或可能形成無法控製和極厚的粉塵層的場所及容器內部（bù）。
21區：在正常運（yùn）行過程中，可能出現粉塵數量（liàng）足以（yǐ）形成可燃性（xìng）粉塵與空氣混合物但未劃入20區的（de）場（chǎng）所，該區域包括與充入或排（pái）放粉（fěn）塵點（diǎn）直接（jiē）相鄰的場所。
